We are seeking a dedicated and diverse group of community leaders to form the founding Board of Directors for a new, innovative public charter school system in Houston. This is a unique opportunity to shape a transformative educational model from the ground up and build a legacy of equity and opportunity for Houston’s children.
Governance & Leadership
Learning Blueprint Community Schools is governed by a Founding Board of Directors, committed to transparency and fiduciary oversight.
As a founding board member, you will provide the strategic leadership necessary to launch a school that redefines what is possible in public education. You will help build an organization designed to prepare students not just to adapt to the future, but to shape it.

The Role of a Founding Board Member
As a founding board member, you will be a fiduciary and strategic leader of the organization. Your primary responsibilities will be to:
Guard the Mission: Ensure the school stays true to its mission and vision as it grows.
Provide Financial Oversight: Approve the annual budget, monitor the school's financial health, and ensure the responsible use of public and private funds.
Hire & Support the Superintendent: Recruit, hire, and provide strategic guidance to the school's lead executive.
Serve as a Community Ambassador: Advocate for the school in the community and leverage your network to build partnerships and support.
Ensure Legal & Ethical Integrity: Uphold the highest standards of governance and ensure compliance with all state and federal laws.

We are seeking a diverse group of leaders who are passionate about our mission and bring a range of skills and perspectives to our board. We have a particular need for individuals with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

Law
K-12 Education
Real Estate & Facilities
Fundraising & Philanthropy
Marketing & Communications
Community Leadership & Advocacy
