URGENT: Help us launch!
We must reach our 18-student activation threshold by Wednesday, June 24 to secure our teachers for the K–8 Day School.
Homeschool Hybrid
at ThinkerStudio
Where Big Ideas Meet Working Prototypes
An agile, project-centered Friday program bridging home learning with a professional-grade makerspace environment.
ThinkerStudio for Homeschoolers
Partnering with families to bridge the gap between home learning and technical mastery.
Rather than a traditional, fragmented drop-in program, our Homeschool Hybrid operates in highly intentional 8-week blocks. This rhythm allows learners to build deep focus, develop tool mastery, and see complex, multi-week projects through from initial concept to a polished, public prototype.
When: Fridays, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Where: Hosted on-site at our home-based studio property, utilizing our specialized indoor/outdoor material zones, wildlife garden, and natural pond.
Format: Dynamic, hands-on studios with multi-age cohorts that foster collaboration, high agency, and real-world skill development.
How It Works: 8-Week Learning Cycles
To ensure deep engagement and project completion, our Hybrid program runs in 8-week cycles. This allows students to dive deep into a specific theme or technical skill, moving from an initial idea to a finished prototype.
The Experience: Beyond Extra Curriculars
This isn't just an after-school club; it’s an immersive learning lab. Hybrid students are fully integrated into our studio culture during their time with us.
Technical Mastery: Students gain access to our makerspace and professional-grade tools, learning everything from engineering basics to digital design.
Social Learning: Students work in multi-age cohorts, building collaborative skills and friendships through shared Design Challenges.
Artisan Mentorship: Our teachers (Artisans) act as facilitators, helping homeschoolers bridge the gap between their home curriculum and real-world application.
Program Schedule
Writing Workshop
Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Recommended Ages: 12+
Cost: $240 per 8-week block (First block begins August 28, 2026)
The Experience: This is an expressive writing track designed to help older youth find their distinct creative voice and communicate with absolute clarity. Instead of dry worksheets, students explore real-world writing modes. Each 8-week block tackles a fresh, meaningful medium—including narrative storytelling, poetry, technical project reporting, and collaborative contributions to our monthly digital community newsletter.
Creative Open Studio
Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Open To: All Grades (K–8)
Cost: $320 per 8-week block (First block begins August 28, 2026)
The Experience: Grounded in design thinking, this studio transforms wild imagination into working engineering marvels. Students are treated as designers and engineers, learning safety, structural balance, and systemic troubleshooting. Each 8-week block introduces a new making medium that builds beautifully on the last—ranging from heavy cardboard fabrication and complex marble runs to physical circuitry and mechanical contraptions that explore physics and kinetic energy transfer.
Admissions Process
Because we prioritize deep, personalized attention and are optimizing our home-based studio property this year, on-site spots are strictly limited to keep cohort sizes exceptionally small.
Step 1: Intent to Enroll
All families must be added to our community database before accessing the registration portal. If you haven't yet, complete your Intent to Enroll form.
Step 2: Jovial Portal Registration
Once on our list, you will receive direct access to our Jovial Portal to input your family profile, select your preferred Friday 8-week blocks, and secure your place in queue.
